Description

The 2010 CIA World Factbook is a reference work that provides detailed profiles of 258 countries and territories around the world. It covers demographic data, geographic features, governmental structures, economic indicators, and military information, offering a standardised overview based on official sources. The publication, originally developed for U.S. government use, has become a resource for academic research, journalism, and international studies. It reflects American perspectives and territorial interpretations, stemming from its origins in classified data compiled since 1962. The Factbook is updated annually to incorporate recent statistics and geopolitical developments, though it maintains a consistent format and scope across editions.

The 2010 edition includes information relevant to the year 2010, with updates on economic conditions, military tensions, and territorial changes. It features summaries of national statistics and geopolitical context, supporting research and reference work in political science, international relations, and related fields.
